The Corporate Engineering team is responsible for managing Wayfair's corporate infrastructure, including but not limited to: all corporate Windows Servers, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, Public Key Infrastructure, System Center Configuration Manager, Microsoft Bitlocker, Office 365/Exchange Online, Skype for Business, Remote Desktop Services, Printing, DHCP, Windows Jenkins Servers, and PowerShell DSC infrastructure. We build tools and leverage automation to scale our services in repeatable and predictable ways.

The Identity Management & Access team is responsible for managing employees' identities across dozens of different applications, both on-premises and in the cloud. We are also directly involved in managing an employee's account throughout its lifecycle, from pre-onboarding to post-offboarding, and everything in-between. Finally, we are also in responsible for permitting or denying all access control-related processes and requests across nearly all systems within the company.

IT Operations is responsible for managing Wayfair’s essential tools to keep both internal and some external services running. Everything from Exchange, Office 365, Active Directory, Skype for Business, Windows Server Builds, Server Patching, DNS, Domain Controllers, Windows Web Servers, Windows Jenkins Servers, and more.

CorpIT SWAT provides consultative resources for novel or particularly challenging Corporate IT initiatives and to other Infrastructure Engineering teams in regards to advanced Windows infrastructure and automation as well as incubating next-generation Microsoft technologies in advance of explicit requests from the business.

Responsibilities include providing first and second-level support to employees for all IT-related concerns, which includes supporting and troubleshooting technologies such as: Windows 7/8.1, Windows Server 2008/R2, 2012/R2, Exchange Server 2010, Active Directory, PowerShell, DNS, DHCP, File/Print Services, Spam/Virus Protection, VOIP telephony, CISCO networking and our proprietary software; preparing, repairing and deploying desktop computers and other office equipment; maintaining and expanding ethernet networks; managing, monitoring and troubleshooting daily batch and backup processes; helping with the planning and deployment of new and upgraded products; helping to seek out and implement ways to make a system or process more efficient; and such other duties and responsibilities.

* Attend to day-to-day operations which include Re-imaging computers, troubleshooting general Windows 7 and Apple issues or scheduling Dell Tech Support for hardware-related issues.

* Worked for two six-month periods.* Implemented Mimecast, an email continuity, security and archival software as a service platform for use in disaster recovery, virus/spam catching and historical email retention.* Utilized Spiceworks for asset tracking, maintaining a helpdesk queue and monitoring critical network infrastructure.* Deployed AVG Internet Security Business Edition 2011 to every computer remotely via a centralized server as a replacement to aging, outdated, unmaintained software previously installed.* Set up virtualized environments for tasks including a Windows Updates Server, an internal web platform running on Ubuntu Server, and one Windows Server 2003 development server.* Collaborated with employees and vendors on projects including the implementation of Mimecast, the creation of three different external websites, and the development of IT-Policy documents.* Documented numerous network procedures into the company wiki for future IT staff to understand and learn from, including Email archival procedures and Mimecast How-To's.* Extensive work with Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Cisco Firewalls (GUI), DNS routing, back-up procedures, desktop deployment/management/upkeep, employee technical support.* Maintained office hardware including the physical servers, the phone system and office printers.

* Assisted employees with user-end problems (email, program installations, and viruses).* Modified and maintained technology related assets to provide accounting metrics for Picis.* Installed server hardware and maintained the server room's cables and cleanliness.* Assisted in the roll-out of System Center Configuration Manager, Microsoft Office Suite 2007 and the migration/consolidation of the SQL2K Databases.* Assisted in the company-wide asset-tracking initiative to centralize and quantify all existing assets.
