Currently working independently while also performing/writing stand-up comedy and serving as Executive Director for the Cleveland Comedy Festival. As Executive Director of the Festival, I also produce shows throughout the year and am active on its social media and with other forms of marketing. On top of this, during 2020 as live entertainment was largely shutdown, I spearheaded a restructuring of the organization and have since launched a new podcast network, began production on YouTube series, and more. The long term goal is to build a sustainable entertainment organization with paid employees, that will ultimately provide not only employment for locals, but opportunities for local arts, while also staying true to the organization’s mission and helping to bring awareness to, support, and fundraising efforts for other local nonprofits through comedy and entertainment. I sit at the helm of my own show, Happy Hour with Steve Guy, but am also currently producing, directing and/or editing two other series to hit the Festival & Network YouTube in March 2021, adding to our podcast network, and overseeing plans for our Festivals and other endeavors. “Happy Hour” serves dually as a variety/talk show on YouTube and as a long form interview podcast.On top of my work for Cleveland Comedy Festival, I also work with independent wrestling promotion, Absolute Intense Wrestling (AIW), to help produce an entertainment experience for not only fans in Cleveland, OH, but throughout the country. I lend my voice to ring announcing, and participate in producing the live experience for fans in attendance, and produce video packages for fans streaming at home.Utilizing a degree in marketing along with experience in sales, social media and more, I consult as well as assist companies in those tasks along with others such as promotional videos and social media posting.My experiences and background provide me with the capability, knowledge and passion to do even more. I have a creative mind which has led me into multiple forms of entertainment including stand-up comedy and the writing of a fictional book, Memoirs of a Wingman.Previously, left the corporate world to work for Crav Spirits and helped to run and build a locally based vodka company. The brand became a success in the local market and as we continued to build and gain traction throughout the state of Ohio the success led to the purchasing by a different party. The experience I had in running a start-up company was invaluable as I had the confidence from ownership to take part in all facets of a business.
