Thom began his technological meandering at a very early age; his first experience with a computer was at the age of six playing with voice-to-text software on an Amiga system. Thom has played musical instruments from an equally early age, and his focus on music production in teenage years has honed his skills in professional digital audio workstations. With a focus on generative music using modular platforms such as Max/MSP and Reaktor, Thom constantly strives to innovate with emergent technology.His recent work has been with some major companies in the technology and advertising sectors, including working on various projects for Apple, and digital campaigns for clients such as Toyota, Coca-Cola and Scania; Thom worked closely with designers and developers on an award- winning advertising campaign 2 for WWF and Canon in Beijing.Thom is currently the resident dogsbody at MangoSteam Ltd - a young startup company that builds inventive productivity software. Thom keeps the company’s operations in check; from creating to-do lists to setting up email addresses and updating our developer portals, Thom makes sure that all the minute details that keep the projects flowing are adhered to and done on time.Thom’s critical eye for detail and experience in marketing also make him a key member in any design choices, while his personable nature makes him a great dispute resolver with any issues amongst team members.Previously working as part of the giant Apple Premium Reseller network in the UK his tasks included team-management and leadership in retail environments, as well as product demonstrations and installations for clients such as primary schools and local businesses. Thom has Pro-App certification from Apple, plus four years’ worth of Apple Product Professional qualifications from 2009 to 2012.
