My extensive expertise in technology, combined with my experience in management and digital fundraising, sets me apart as a leader in driving impactful initiatives.I began my journey in the agency environment, quickly establishing myself as a tech creative. After graduating as a qualified copywriter from the prestigeous AAA School of Advertising, I embarked on a path of continuous growth and development. Starting with internships at Jupiter Drawing Room Cape Town and TBWA\Fusion Cape Town, I honed my skills and set my sights on becoming a leading digital content provider.I worked my way up from producing SEO-driven copy to designing and coding websites, consulting on SEO and SEM projects, and formulating analytics-driven strategies. My time in Cape Town allowed me to work with prominent brands and gain valuable experience in the industry.Seeking new challenges, I ventured to Riebeek Kasteel, where I flexed my tech muscles at Future Solutions Systems and its subsidiary WISP, ValleyLink. It was during this period that I took my entrepreneurial spirit to new heights, starting and successfully running my own IT support company while providing web design and digital strategy services to a host of freelance clients.Returning to Cape Town, I joined forces with Darren McKay, the creative director I had previously worked with at Jupiter Drawing Room. Together, we embarked on a digital crusade at The Greenhouse Advertising Agency, where I continued to expand my skills and make a tangible impact.During this time, I also dedicated my efforts to AfrikaBurn, an annual event that captured my passion for counter-cultural experimentation. It was through my involvement with AfrikaBurn that I discovered my true calling and realised the importance of being a culture driver and crafting vibrant communities in the pursuit of fun and freedom.Taking on the challenge full-time, I flourished within AfrikaBurn, assuming increasing responsibilities and becoming an integral part of the team. In this role, I leveraged my technological expertise to empower individuals, spread joy, and create a supportive and inclusive environment.
