At PaperCut I worked my way through a range of initiatives.I Re-booted our on-premise product release process, taking it from 2 years without a release back to multiple releases per year, this involved co-running a team of 4 peopleFollowing that I ran a product commercialization project for the latest cloud offering Hive/Pocket, which involved a lot of system integrations (both internal and with external payment providers) as well as facilitating cross company agreements on how the ordering and provisioning would operate. This started as a 1:1 collaboration with the founder and finished as a 5 person independent engineering team.That same team went on to acquire a great product manager and a developer relations rep, and we built a partner development platform (APIs, in-product market place, IAM/Consent flow technologies & commercial agreements) alongside a few first party integrations (AzureAD & Google workspace)We then ran a 9 month stand alone project team for Grows, PaperCut's contribution to improving a better environment, which tied together charity, multiple of our products, new ordering processes and drew engineering muscle from all over the business.Since then I have been working in the IAM space, implementing provisioning, group sync, authorization & policy management with an eye to improve our SSO & MFA technologies.During this journey I maxed out at 10 reports across 2 teams, provided a mix of engineering management, architecture & system design, individual contributions and a ton of basic facilitation around communicationsIn terms of technology I've mostly been covering Go on GCP serverless technologies, however as ever there's a sprinkling of every technology as we experiment and find better ways to solve specific problems

Provided ongoing consultative support for re-platformed and reinvigorated technology suite up until the successful exit of the founder in January 2023

GrowData provides cost and compliance software to a majority of the Australian Horticulture producers.This includes small owner-operator farms, to some of the largest producers in the country.The founder Brian asked me to come on board and help him re-platform and re-invigorate their product suite which had only recently make the transition from on-premise to cloud software and was proving labor intensive to manage.In my 12 month stint there I collaborated with Brian on a product and technology strategy, communicated it to high value customers and then implemented the strategy, which included:Taking the cloud infrastructure from outsourced click-ops "managed" VM services to a dev-ops CI/CD pipeline powered by Ansible and BitBucket pipelines with Azure as the runtime environmentDeveloping back-of-house software for consistent and bulk management of customer tenanciesImplemented automated backup and DR processImplemented industry standard development tracking software (jira) and ran multiple concurrent development projects with freelancers over a wide range of technologies (mainly MS technologies and flutter)Delivered major upgrades to the core product, Rescued and launched a languishing mobile application that has since proved commercially viableRan a partnering initiative to deliver mapping based spray application tracking to early access customers (reached beta testing during my tenure)Developed multiple companion mobile and web apps to test commercial viability of new opportunitiesAt the end of my 12 months we were happy with our achievement, however Brian had made the decision to sell his business and retire. I stayed on one day a fortnight to do technical due diligence and support after the sale of the IP which has since concluded successfully

I came to be employed by Temenos by way of their Rubik Acquisition.My role there was architect, I was working on a team of 4 architects with different specialties.My own was deep knowledge of cloud platforms, API management and dev-ops.My duties there included facilitation of software delivery teams, executive reporting, prototyping container solutions for the financial advice software packages.It was a team of peers rather than a hierarchy, and we all had our own areas of focus, however I did spearhead a few team wide initiatives around presenting a unified face and engagement model to the rest of the company
