Umair Qureshi is a veteran Educationist, Advocate for change through educational reforms, teacher trainer, TEDx Speaker, Writer, and blogger. He is the Founder & Executive Director of Pakistan ASCD, and CEO The Thinking Schools (Pvt) Limited and Founder of 'The Reformer' (Pakistan's first international educational magazine.As an eduprenuer his recent ongoing venture is The Thinking Schools which is an extension of Thinking Schools International in Pakistan through Pakistan ASCD. The Thinking Schools are working in Islamabad and are a superior schooling model that offers media studies from Grade 1 and prepares students with thinking maps and cognitive development tools. The Thinking Schools are the first and only purpose-built ASCD Whole Child Schooling Network where schools ensure that every child is safe, healthy, engaged, supported, and challenged.Umair is an engineer by qualification, a teacher by choice, and an educationist by passion. He is certified in Instructional Leadership from the University of Massachusetts USA, Certified IBDP, Oxbridge Fellow, and holds several certifications from Oxford University, Cambridge University in educational planning and management. He is certified in Advanced Educational Leadership from Harvard University.Umair is the first Pakistani who was selected as ASCD Emerging Leader by ASCD USA in 2015. He is passionate to provide quality professional development to the teachers, global connectivity of educators. He has recently launched an international Educational Magazine ''The Reformer'' on behalf of Pakistan ASCD. Umair has trained around 6000 teachers across Pakistan on instructional leadership, questioning strategies, Evaluation frameworks for school and teachers, 21st-century learning, Understanding by Design, National Curriculum and SLO based teaching, curriculum development, Leadership roles, Instructional practices, Lesson Planning and student-centered classrooms. Umair has taught as a Physics teacher in leading school chains of the country as A-Level Physics Teacher in leading school chains of the country such as Beaconhouse School System, The City School, Lahore Grammar School, and many more.
