My story is one of constant reinvention. 🪄✨Just like you. Most creatives today end up getting a "survival job", unless they have rich parents or a magical rich patron. Well, survive I did, and become my own patron on the path to hell and hair loss I did too: I valued sleeplessness and sweat equity as the most important things. I felt my suffering would be rewarded with good, and in the meantime, I would build enough fortitude for my real career when it showed up. It was gonna be great! 💰💰💰💰The only thing I gained was great GAMS. 🦵🏾 Maybe some decent knowledge about wine! And an education in never whining!!! I would to walk 40 minutes to an hour in rain, sleet, and snow, to get to and from work. Sometimes I would run 3-4 miles and treat my commute as a workout. I would go to a job to make money and would have to spend the money to get there and get back home. My gams were robust, but my pockets were bust. But seriously, you should see these legs. 👌🏾 🤌🏾After 12 or so years in service, and definitely not in service of my best interests - somehow through a series of layoffs, and new jobs, divine intervention, help from good people, and my mother's/aunts' prayers, I had somewhat of a "big break" (my first Union commercial) - it changed my mind about the possibilities for myself and my chosen path. 🎤 🎧I have about 10 yrs experience as a VO professional, with a varied portfolio in commercial, animation, narrative podcasts, & more. I've also been on several tv shows and have been in the theatre for a good portion of my life.Lately, I’ve been using my performance and content creation experience to become a champion for my fellow artists. 👩🏾‍🎨For example, I brought my bag of talents into an agency setting and was able to create an event partnership with Reebok FitHub Union Square in 2018 and 2019, collaborating with my good friend, rapper/artist Napoleon Da Legend. I am now a full-time voiceover actor, doing the occasional TV/theatre/on-camera commercial gig. I've learned to bring the same resourcefulness and savvy to my VO work for Spotify, Chase, Michelob, Nike, Nickelodeon, BNY Mellon, and more. I also enjoy coaching creatives in my spare time, making & producing music (as BBass), paying my friends to mentor/coach me, and shooting various video content. 🎼 🎹 🥁🎬 Always love to meet like-minded, new people - let's connect! 👋🏾
