Connor Wolfe (they/them) is the Founder of Wayfarer Books, a leader in indie publishing since 2012. Wolfe’s innovative approach to indie publishing enabled them to serve two terms on the Board of Directors for the Independent Book Publisher’s Association, deliver a TEDx talk at Yale University, and study at Harvard University through grant programs.Wolfe holds a degree in Abnormal Psychology, with a focus on the intersection of mental illness and creativity. Driven by their passion for art, Wolfe also pursued a minor in Photojournalism at Harvard, studying under Samantha Appleton, the former Official White House Photographer for President Obama and the First Family.Wolfe is an award-winning author of twelve books under the pen name, L.M. Browning. In 2022, after facing compounding health challenges, they made the difficult decision to retire from writing. Since then, Wolfe has devoted their time to advocating for key causes such as transgender rights, decolonization, and mental health awareness.Wolfe now resides in Abiquiu, New Mexico, on the sacred lands of the Ancestral Pueblo. They have served as Volunteer Staff in the Collections Department of the Museum of Anthropology at Ghost Ranch, contributing to the important work of preparing sacred objects for repatriation under the updated Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). In addition to their advocacy efforts, Wolfe is the CEO & Creative Director for Wayfarer Books and Editor-in-Chief of Wayfarer Magazine. When not in Northern New Mexico, they can be found drifting along the West Coast in search of untamed landscapes.
