He specialized in advising professional athletes and clientele nationwide.In 2010, with a desire to share his passion for golf with young people, Eben established the Lester Hyashi Memorial Foundation, a charitable foundation granting college scholarships for underprivileged junior golfers. He is also a scratch golfer and a multiple-time golf club championship winner. Eben and his wife of 23 years reside in Solana Beach, California and have two daughters in college. When not working, you can find him on the local, beautiful golf courses in the San Diego area.

While working on a golf course during college, Wisp designer and avid golfer Eben Dobson saw the need for a device that would allow a player to take responsibility for the sand they displace on the green after a bunker shot. Dobson set out on a mission to create a new etiquette in the game that would provide everyday players a simple solution to a problem that has never been addressed. The WISP is that solution; an etiquette tool that gently sifts the sand past the canopy, restoring the green back to its original condition, leaving it better for the following group(s). The WISP was designed from a golfer's perspective, an etiquette that enables players to show courtesy for others who play and give back to the course, while promoting equal playing conditions throughout the day, improving playability and enhancing aesthetics.
