In this role I was accountable for execution of the Top Load dryer strategy and successful technical delivery of Tier 1 mega-projects ($30MM plus) for the category. This demanded on-time delivery of product launches, at cost, meeting all quality targets.We successfully launched a complete new line of dryers built on a new product architecture which included multiple "first and only" to market features such as our magnetic door latch.My role served as the liaison cross-functionally for engineering on products and projects in my scope: Over 30 engineers on my project and hundreds of total core team members.I also provided key strategic input to drive cadenced platform & product planning, in support of the 5yr architecture roadmap.

My team successfully launched 18 new models in summer 2013, including both Whirlpool and Maytag brands and first-to-market product leadership.In 2014 I moved to Fabric Care and took on the Technical Lead role for North America Region Dryer projects VMAX and Advantage, part of a $150M strategic investment in the laundry category.

I held accountability for early design and development through post-production quality of any oven door/drawer sold in North America. In addition to new product development, I owned the technology roadmap for oven doors/drawers and the module strategy across cooking platforms. We have a small team of engineers and designers working on these modules, whose work I influenced to align with the strategy and needed results.I had ongoing design work for oven doors on mega-projects and was developing new drawer technology for future platforms. My capital budget to manage for the new door design was over $3 million in tooling and prototype expense.
