I took on the challenge of exponential growth for the iconic KitchenAid brand, specifically for our small appliance food service business unit - KitchenAid Commercial. I owned both strategy and execution of brand marketing, product marketing, product development and go-to-market plans for stand mixers, immersion blenders, and stand blenders in the commercial food service channel. This included customer insights, working through the voice of the consumer to develop product specifications, and P&L results ensuring profitable growth for each category. I also supported day to day delivery of active projects and marketing assets, in partnership with the KitchenAid global sales teams and agency creative teams.My results led to 15% growth YoY, and approval of a new strategy and product plan designed to multiply the commercial business by 10x over 3 years. The first key to success, our enclosed blender line, launched just before I left to start my company, OACO.

Technical Project Leadership and System Integration for North America Region (NAR) Laundry Engineering. In this role I was accountable for execution of the Top Load dryer strategy and successful technical delivery of Tier 1 mega-projects ($30MM plus) for the category. This demanded on-time delivery of product launches, at cost, meeting all quality targets.We successfully launched a complete new line of dryers built on a new product architecture which included multiple "first and only" to market features such as our magnetic door latch.My role served as the liaison cross-functionally for engineering on products and projects in my scope: Over 30 engineers on my project and hundreds of total core team members.I also provided key strategic input to drive cadenced platform & product planning, in support of the 5yr architecture roadmap.

I performed as Technical Lead for the Double Oven Freestanding Range platform in NAR Food Preparation. The role demands leading the engineering and technology team in design & development, testing, drawing release, and production ramp up. It is also the key interface from the business and marketing team to engineering, as well as between manufacturing and design. My team successfully launched 18 new models in summer 2013, including both Whirlpool and Maytag brands and first-to-market product leadership.In 2014 I moved to Fabric Care and took on the Technical Lead role for North America Region Dryer projects VMAX and Advantage, part of a $150M strategic investment in the laundry category.

Technology and design lead for cooking appliance door and drawer systems in the North America Region. I held accountability for early design and development through post-production quality of any oven door/drawer sold in North America. In addition to new product development, I owned the technology roadmap for oven doors/drawers and the module strategy across cooking platforms. We have a small team of engineers and designers working on these modules, whose work I influenced to align with the strategy and needed results.I had ongoing design work for oven doors on mega-projects and was developing new drawer technology for future platforms. My capital budget to manage for the new door design was over $3 million in tooling and prototype expense.

My first role after graduate school at Whirlpool Corporation was in Food Preparation, Product Approval and Lab Operations Test Engineering. My strategic focus was enabling lab integration with breakthrough lean product development and system design initiatives, while supporting the cadence of product launches.My key operational focus was to identify gaps in our product development and design verification; the gaps were filled with robust methods of evaluation based on subsystem physics and attribute cascades. In a period of one year, I discovered, developed, and implemented three major and over a dozen minor evaluation methods with global scope.
