The GMP QC Project Leader position involves the supervision of all the QC aspects of a project in clinical/commercial phases. It implies- batch production and release- stability analyses- qualification and validation of methods- documentation redaction- regulatory aspects- scientific advisory and communication with the sponsor of the project.

I am currently operator in charge of the the Raw material section of the QC laboratories of Sterop Pharmaceuticals, dealing with the raw materials required by the production, from their sampling to their liberation (identification tests, tests and assays) under GMP conditions and following the european pharmacopee. The tests include HPLC, AAS, ICP, spectrophotometry, Karl-Fisher and many other tests required for the liberation of the raw materials for use.As operator in charge, I am a mix between a supervisor and a technician. I have to do analyses on the chemicals, make sure that they complies the current pharmacopea and that all the documents are available and correct. I try to improve the raw mat section and make sure that problems are avoided or solved. I am one person of reference of the QC laboratory, i.e. I capable to form technicians on any apparatus of the lab and I am happy to help everybody in the lab to optimize their work.

I currently work in the RAW MAT unit of NCE QC and I have been working in the API team (active pharmaceutical ingredients) of NCE QC. My work includes various identification and quantification tests:KF,TOC, identification tests, solubility, aspect in solution, sulfuric ashes, loss on drying, heavy metals, ...assays (memo and titration), viscosity, spectrophotometry: IR and UV, All the tests are performed with respect to the european pharmacopee, USP and JP methods and on a large range of products. I work in a GMP environment, ISO14001 certified, and have to use programs like GLIMS and LDMA.

I am responsible for the Chemistry and Physics sections of the Borzuya virtual university for which I write scientific lessons. The site is open to anybody willing to learn basics of chemistry or to improve their knowledge.
