Designed, built, and deployed the standardized systems architecture for the data center implementation of a premier start-up genomic information services business. Built and managed the implementation team including 20 best-in-class technical professionals with a hardware and software budget of more than $65M. Achievements during a 26-month period:• Enabled the discovery of the Drosophila and Human Genome by implementing a large-scale compute infrastructure providing support for 300+ internal researchers (Bioinformatitions and Computer Scientists), the Online Portal (CDS) and 6 Premier Customers • Supported the Celera business model with the implementation of hosted services for Pharma customers in own high-security network domains and the implementation of an online subscription system to allow customers access to Celera’s data and applications
