Responsible for structural design validation of LEO camera development which was part of the transfer of technology project between Brazilian and French governments due to the acquisition of SGDC satellite. The engineering team of OPTO stood six months inside THALES ALENIA SPACE in Cannes, France, to assimilate the best practices on how to design, build, test and qualify optical payloads. The project was supported by the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB) and the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI).Opto-Mechanical: Build the interfaces on finite element models to assess opto-mechanical analysis using SigFit software from Sigmadyne for evaluation of the optical performance of the telescope. Analyze thermo-elastic behavior to verify telescope optical tolerances. Optimize by parametric design of CAD and CAE models the mirrors mounting fixation devices (MFDs) and mirror's mass relief geometries in order to achieve the desired wavefront error (WFE) and comply with alignment tolerances and structural launching requirements. Structural: Build FE models of subsystems and full LEO telescope to accurately represent the behavior of physical prototype and perform all validation analyses according to the mission requirements document provided by THALES ALENIA SPACE. Enhance CAD design using all simulation responses of modal, static, sinusoidal, random and shock analyses as closed loop feedback. Use design for test (DFT) strategy to improve AIV/AIT capabilities. Perform theodolite and laser tracker measurements for geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) evaluation using SpatialAnalyzer software.

Build full-vehicle models (Stralis 6x2; Tector 6x2; Tector 4x2 9ton; Tector 4x2 11ton) using .mnf files to consider chassis flexibility during vehicle dynamics studies of ride, handling and durability. Loads extraction in all chassis interfaces for fatigue life verification while using virtual test tracks based on internal obstacle courses and external roads near the factory.Instrumentation plans and test data processing: Develop instrumentation plans with strain gauges and accelerometers for field data acquisition in internal tracks (potholes, body twist, cobblestones) and external paved and unpaved roads near the factory for posterior virtual model correlation. Pre-process acquired test data with NI DIAdem performing signal treatment. Post-process several data channels to perform FFT and frequency response studies while writing scripts in VBS inside DIAdem to standardize presentation results and build correlation with virtual vehicle natural frequency modes and vehicle dynamics simulation response.
