Durante o projeto foram feitas simulações e análises de desempenho de transmissões da fibra óptica utilizando a técnica de modulação por polarizaçã (POLMUX), possibilitando altas taxas e longas distâncias. Foram analisados os efeitos PMD em modulações ASK, DPSK e OFDM.
