I have over 20 years of experience in Performing Arts, being in the Entertainment industry as a director, choreographer, performer and teacher. In musical theatre my solid experience led me into being the Resident Director and Resident Choreographer of the Brazilian production of 'We Will Rock You' (2016) and 'In the Heights' that brought, in 2014, with a successful run in Sao Paulo, an overwhelming fusion of energy and heart in a story that staged new paths on Broadway. In that same year, I was also the Resident Director of the original Brazilian musical 'Se Eu Fosse Voce'. Previously, I had been Dance Captain/Swing and Assistant Resident Director in 'Priscilla Queen of the Desert', a first class production that ran successfully for 9 months with great reviews. Other credits in musical theatre include 'Sweet Charity', 'West Side Story', 'Evita' (Assistant Choreographer), 'Nice work if you can get it' and 'My Fair Lady' (Dance Captain/Swing). I also choreographed Broadway's 'Rock of Ages', 'Bare - A Pop Opera', `The World Goes Round` and 'Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum, o Musical', a musical theatre production of the renowned Brazilian TV series, all in Sao Paulo.Recently I had the pleasure and the challenge of choreographing the first ever musical series by Globo Play (Globo Channel´s streaming plataform). It´s a energetic and fun series with a big heart to be aired soon, in 2023.For 6 years I have created and directed performances for Cartoon Network Live Experience, working alongside the channel's live marketing team in Brazil. I also developed the Movement Bible for Cartoon Network characters, being the responsible for training the actors and teaching the material, creating performances, directing Meet & Greet actions and maintaining regularly the quality of the character's presentation and appearance.Being led to explore more of the performing arts, I was an artist in residence at the Watermill Center, a laboratory for performance in NY, directed by Robert Wilson. There I experienced contemporary and visual arts, in workshops of creation and staging of Bob Wilson's works. This turned my eyes upon Site-Specific performance, and after returning to Brazil, I developed a program with other artists to study and explore this kind of work, engaged in a collaborative process. With a solid background in musical theatre and interest in education, I also worked as an Art Educator in schools such as 4ACT Performing Arts and as its Pedagogical Coordinator for 2 years, Casa de Artes Operária, Ballet Paula Castro, Studio Anacã and Stage Center Maiolle (Lisbon).
