Once these 3 items are clearly defined, a process can commence synthesizing a complex problem into small, digestible pieces (or stories). A requirements gathering process will follow, by conducting user research, interviews, and observation of a user, who can be anyone ranging from senior executives, customers to stakeholders.A close working relationship with the target audience is very important in order to always have the business value metrics as a top priority, specially when planning a sprint or trimming a backlog. In my mind, everything that we do as designers and developers must have a clear business ROI metrics. This become essential when working in a large company, where a project must constantly prove its value.
