Lead Software Engineer
Current- Took an incipient idea of an on premise automation system and helped to transform it into a scalable and flexible IoT/Cloud solution for electrical equipment monitoring and automation.- Built a scalable Ruby on Rails Mobile First Web Application with functionalities such as: dashboards for telemetry data visualization; graphical reports with insights about environments and equipment usage; UI for system configuration and creation of automation rules; alerts system; among others.- Migrated from a manually deployed unique EC2 service to three serverless services (ui, api and job) automatically deployed using Fargate and AWS Copilot (CloudFormation and CodePipeline underneath);- Implemented a message-driven communication system between application and remote devices to store telemetry data and send configurations using AWS IoT;- Monitored database performance creating new indexes and optimizing queries and routines when needed.
