Software Development Engineer I
Implemented and collaborated on software solutions of the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) Image Builder service using Python, Java and TypeScript. Contributions included scoping, design, code, testing, documentation, and maintenance.Contributed to the development effort to implement a lifecycle management feature. This feature empowers customers with enhanced control of resources, driving cost reduction through automated deletion/deprecation rules on EC2 instances.Led the migration to the latest contract test program defined by AWS CloudFormation (CFN) – i.e. updating the adherence to CRUDL handler rules – ensuring the service’s provided resources are complying with the latest standards set by CFN Registry in all +30 AWS regions where the service is available.Carried out end-to-end implementation of an event-driven feature for managing pre-defined EC2 Image Builder image resources. This feature, leveraged by AWS DynamoDB storage for efficient retrieval and AWS Lambda Functions for serverless computing, optimizes back-end performance when customers request the usage of these pre-defined resources as parent images.Undertook recurring on-call duties, managing service operations and customer issues effectively. The on-call main responsibilities involved ticket handling, troubleshooting customer issues (through meetings, debug, and log analyses), and configuring/monitoring alarms on service availability and performance using AWS CloudWatch.Managed and sustained infrastructure as code using Amazon’s Cloud Development Kit (CDK).Reviewed code of other developers, contributing to the company’s and cross-team standard in Continuous Deployment.Adopted AWS Coral (internal tool) for setting up CI/CD pipelines and client enpoints of our APIs/microservices for internal usage.Conducted thorough unit testing to ensure quality and reliability of implemented modules.Develop and deploy AWS Lambda Functions to support serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
