We used Informatica BDE tool to push data into HDFS (Hadoop File System). Both Hive and Impala clients were used for querying data. Also worked on a project to replace the old BI infrastructure, changing the database layer from Oracle to start using Hadoop and its technologies. Also, using Control-M for job schedules and scripts for process automation. Cablevision is one of the largest cable companies in the USA. It had around 4 million clients around USA. Each user interaction with the set-top-box involves data transfer between the clients set-top-box and the backend systems, built to provide high quality information to them. I worked on the financial segment at Dell at the Lease Management System. The financial system was based on SOA architecture. As we had lot of applications interconnected, from different technologies, this project demanded strong architectural and technical knowledge.
