CurrentLead development and maintenance of youth engagement for 200+ students annually, implementing best practices.Create dynamic and engaging lessons for youth incorporating technology and current trends, including Roblox. Implement an audience-centered curriculum in accordance with benchmarks and standards to encourage participants’ interest in and excitement for science.Partner with school, district, and board leadership to contribute to research and work on strategic initiatives.Encourage historically disadvantaged students to think big and strive for greatness through constructive and positive feedback, learning opportunities, and individualized projects.Serve cross-functionally as a voice of youth to school and district leadership, advocating for their needs and interests.Listen to youth to make connections and create programs and learning opportunities that meet their interests and developmental needs, evidenced by positive feedback received from current and former parents and students.Serve as the science department chair and on the school site committee, leading three science teachers and promoting school site safety and collaboration.
