As a Buyer for Suez Recycling & Recovery Belgium, I had the opportunity to face many challenges in a multilingual (60% dutch, 30% french & 10 % english) and multi-sites (more than 30 sites) environnement. My objectives were multiple:°As a buyer:- to Identify sourcing opportunities for the categories (technical & non-technical) I am in charge with to decrease cost, improve services or manage risk,- to develop and constantly update my general knowledge about my purchasing categories,- to manage the relationship with existing suppliers and enhance my network with new suppliers,- to draft RFI / RFP & Manage negotiations with suppliers,- to lead Buying projects from A to Z (from the identification of the need until the implementation of the solution), some having led to serious savings,- to offer support to other departments in final phases of negociations for various projects- to keep a global knowledge of our different sourcing points in order to shunt local buyers to the best choice°As a tools and process manager:- to develop and improve SAP-Reporting tools in collaboration with IT team- to elaborate reports in order to folow KPI's and to strategically inform our team- to manage SAP SRM with the maintenance of the tool, and offering support to the key users and training to new users- to keep a control on the purchases through an administrator and approbator role in SAP SRM and ensure purchasing procedures are followed.
