Project: Towards Geologic inversion using machine learning: Petrophysically and Geologically Guided Geophysical Inversion.I combine geophysical inversions and machine learning to perform multi-physics, multi-datasets analysis by quantitatively fitting geophysical, petrophysical and geological datasets. Evaluation of geophysics ability to quantify the metals contents of old mining wastes and their economic potential:•Characterized the different components of the mining waste•Determined the physical properties of each phase•Simulated the answer of several geophysical methods to determine the more appropriate to map the metals concentrations•Tested in-situ the chosen geophysical methods•Recommended the excavation of the test area for calibration and ground-truthing.

•Managed small multidisciplinary teams of three to six people (pilots, technician, mechanic, camp cook)•Prepared and conducted high-resolution airborne (fixed and rotary-wings) geophysical surveys (Magnetic, Radiometric and TDEM) in various remote areas in northern Norway and northern Canada•Compiled, checked, processed and analysed geophysical data (Oasis Montaj, Waypoint)•Took charge of the logistics: contacted the landowners or the other airplanes, ensured the fuel supply and created facilities for helicopters•Installed, operated and maintained on-board and ground geophysical equipment•Planned the daily flight path with the pilots in the most efficient way according to the weather and other constraints•Performed daily quality control checks of each instrument on field to locate and fix any acquisition problem•Liaised with field crew and office staff•Edited geophysical maps •Wrote operation reports
