Lead Game Designer
I am working remotely from the SF Bay Area to lead a team of six game designers on Sunrise Village, a F2P exploration and farming game on mobile and browser. I was brought onto the project to get the game to launch. I developed the captivating narrative, guided in the design and balancing of engaging and innovative features, levels and events, and maintained the vision of the product as I worked cross-functionally to deliver on product goals on time and in high quality.Previously, I was the Lead Game Designer for Forge of Empires, InnoGames’ top performing multi-platform 4X game. I lead a team of five game designers and oversaw the design, balancing and implementation of new features, events and ages. I pitched features to upper management, managed stakeholders, and worked closely with the product’s leadership team to develop product strategy that kept Forge of Empires a top performing game.In both roles, I was dedicated to developing my game design teams, advocating for my team and supporting them in their game design work.In addition, I regularly appeared in YouTube videos and Facebook Live sessions to directly communicate with players. I often did interviews with various media outlets on behalf of the company and even got featured in a two-page spread in the German news paper, Franfurter Rundschau.
Game Designer
My initial focus was on live events when I joined Forge of Empires, the award-winning F2P 4X game on browser and mobile. I designed and balanced a new event that resulted in record revenue uplift during the course of event. The event type went on to be one of the most successful at InnoGames, and has been adopted into other games at the company.Another big accomplishment I achieved during this time was designing a new FTUE for Forge that increased log values (1, 7, 15), improved active player conversion and payer conversion, and was the most successful FTUE rework ever done at InnoGames at that point.
Game Designer
I worked on Farm Story 2, a F2P farming and resource management game on mobile. I designed and balanced new features and in-game events.I simultaneously worked on Mystery Crimes, a F2P hidden object game on mobile, where I balanced new hidden object scenes and designed Pets feature with the aim of improving monetisation. On both projects, I worked closely with outsourcing producers to implement content into the games, and with product managers to plan the roadmap.
Game Designer
The company wanted to start a new game, so I was tasked to create the concept and pitch it to upper management. Once the concept was approved, I worked on the unreleased location-based game where I created prototypes to prove out and iterate on game mechanics, worked closely with artists to establish the visual style and created a detailed GDD to communicate the concept to the whole game team. Unfortunately, we never got to finish the game as the company ended up laying off about 75% of the workforce, myself included.
Associate Producer
When I first joined, I worked on the F2P pet collection and city building mobile game, Pet Town. I helped redesign the progression system and got the game to launch within two months of joining the company. I went on to work on liveops for No Zombies Allowed, a F2P action and survivor game on mobile. There, I AB tested monetisation features and in-game offers, some of which achieved considerable uplift in ARPDAU.
Associate Producer
My first project was Playdom's destination site and I got the site launched within my first month at the company. I went on to join several game teams where I helped develop new game concepts as part of Playdom's strategy to build up its portfolio after being acquired by Disney.I joined the team working on an unreleased Facebook game where I designed features and game content, as well as wrote some of the quests. I documented and managed implementation and testing of features, managed the art schedule and pipeline and created the game's viral channels on Facebook.
Production Intern
I assisted the production team working on Captain America: Super Soldier, a combat platformer game on Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, and Nintendo 3DS. I communicated with external development teams, scheduled the roadmap and tested builds.
Legal Clerk To The General Counsel
I produced and managed contracts on major AAA titles including: Iron Man, Iron Man 2 (received in-game credit), Bayonetta, MadWorld, The Conduit, Samba De Amigo, and Yakuza. Additionally, I researched IP issues for videogame distribution and licensing and single handedly developed the Sega IP Protection Program. I also developed and implemented an IP audit to ensure Sega’s compliance with ESRB.
