Candidate for Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) at the University of Texas at Dallas, focusing on the design and analysis of mechanical systems. My coursework has taught me how to incorporate calculus concepts with the technical knowledge I've learned from thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and kinematics and dynamics in order to generate models using CAD or MATLAB. Most of my design and analysis work has been using CREO Parametric, however, I also have experience working with SolidWorks and AutoCAD. In order to supplement my skills, I have also programmed with C, C++, and MATLAB. Additionally, I am a Marine Corps veteran with 5 years of advising and leadership experience. My time in the military has taught me how to cooperate within a team environment as well as how to effectively lead. I always find myself naturally drawn to the leadership role whether it be in group projects or in managing my associate staff as head routesetter for the university's rock wall.I thoroughly understand the compromises that must be made between meeting project goals, time, and cost. This has made me proficient in optimizing every step in the development process from design to testing. I strongly believe that if you're going to do something, you should do it right.
