I have been an associate professor of optics at the University of Paris-Saclay and the Institute of Optics (IOGS) since 1992.I worked for 10 years in the field of femtosecond lasers and nonlinear optics.I then branched off into optical engineering, in which I have been teaching and doing research for more than 20 years.My specialties are as follows: optical design, optical instrumentation and metrology, radiometry, optical detection.My research projects (academic and industrial) concern the development of optical systems for astronomy, space and also ophthalmology (see the link to my bibliography below).I am also :- visiting professor and advisor to the directorof the Thailand observatory (NARIT) since 2014, where I co-created and co-directed the Center of Optics and Photonics (~40 research staff : PhDs, master students, engineers, techs)- at the origin of the creation in 2019 of the French center for freeform optics (FO-RS),- senior member of Optica and SPIE,- knight of the academic palms (class of 2018), - past symposium chair of the SPIE Optical Systems Design 2024 conference.
