From the start, we have been focused on fixing the broken distribution chain not only for ourselves as a studio but for the industry as a whole. Development of Headjack started in 2015 and after a lot of blood sweat and tears this eventually led to the public release of Headjack in 2017After the public release of Headjack, we gradually shifted our focus more to custom app development with the Headjack CMS at its core. Over the course of the last 6 years, we worked on and successfully released more than a hundred custom VR projects in collaboration with agencies, brands and other production studio’s from around the globe.To better align our product portfolio and serve our Headjack clients before, during, and after production this eventually led to the move of all Purple Pill services under the Headjack brand in 2019.Achievements- Build a fully automated SaaS funnel around our XR Video Content Management Platform- Designed and build a healthy eco-system of tools and applications with end-point on all major XR and mobile storefronts- Engineered a solution for automated video transcoding and a worldwide distribution network for XR and 360 video- Assembled an inbound marketing pipeline with over +40K email addresses and over +100K in unique website visitors.- Wrote over 200 support articles related to the XR/AR/VR industry and app development in the Unity Game Engine- Assisted hundreds of XR studios with content release / XR app development and store submissionsOther responsibilities- Led the engineering and support team- End responsible for all inbound marketing and product communication and, website maintenance + design- Lined out the strategic and product road map and led several investment rounds Show less

In 2012, while on vacation in Rome, I stumbled upon the "Pluto en Proserpina" sculpture by Gianlorenzo Bernini. Awestruck by its beauty, I started to research 3D capturing solutions that would allow me to digitally recreate the sculpture to visit the statue outside of the walls of the beautiful Villa Borghese museum any time I wanted.This quest eventually resulted in the founding of both Purple Pill and Headjack during my student time. It led to me waving goodbye to my university master's in Architecture and Building construction (sorry, mom) at the Technical University in Delft since we raised our first Seed round when I just turned 24 and was still at University. Luckily my six years of education didn't go entirely to waste since it was here where I developed a basic set of engineering skills and an eye for design. Abilities proved highly valuable for my work on Purple Pill and Headjack products later in my career.From 2014 until 2019, Our studio worked for brands like T-mobile, Channel 4, Red-Bull, NASA, and countless other XR production studios from around the globe and helped them release their VR/AR products to the publicAchievements- Pioneered the first multicamera capturing technologies and 12K 360 video stitch, compositing, and post-production pipeline. - Build asset compression pipeline for HQ video, Ambisonic audio, and 3D models for final app distribution to VR headsets and mobile devices.- Delivered over 100 VR/AR productions for A-level Brands, Various Hollywood studios, and festivals.- Created the first multi-platform 360 video player for the Unity Game Engine with full support for all available VR devices.- Open-sourced various production tools, camera designs and contributed to over 300 pieces of documentationOther responsibilities - Led a studio of 12 engineers, 3D artists, writers, producers, and creatives- Guided various investments rounds- End responsible for all productions that came out of the studio Show less
