The focus of my PhD was on protein research. The goal was to characterize the bacterial antibiotic importer. I have experience with a broad range of laboratory techniques, including cell culturing, protein purification, protein analysis and structural biology techniques such as cryo-EM. In addition to practical skills, I have expertise in data analysis, processing, and effectively communicating results both verbally and written. I was responsible for the organization and execution of my own project. I was responsible for organizing and executing my own project, often coordinating, preparing, and prioritizing multiple lines of investigation. Alongside established methods, I developed new methods and protocols to reach scientific objectives. I also participated in several collaborations, both within my group and with international research groups, which required clear communication and the ability to bring together diverse opinions and perspectives.

During my research internship at an academic laboratory, I aimed to chemically and structurally characterize the archaeal amino acid transporter GltTK.

During my research internship at a biotech start-up, I focused on investigating potential product leads for industrial fermentative production. I was responsible for developing bacterial strains capable of producing vitamin precursors. This involved conducting thorough research on relevant scientific literature and patents, followed by organizing and setting up experiments.
