Catherinn BV (Cancer Therapeutics and Innovation, www.catherinn.com,) is a virtual research and development company devoted to the improvement of diagnostic and treatment options for Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC) patients. Catherinn was started by a group of highly motivated experts and entrepreneurs in the life science and vaccine industry. Important work on SCLC diagnostics and therapy was carried out and patented by the group of prof. Frans Ramaekers, department of molecular cell biology of the Maastricht University Medical Center. In 2014, the patent was acquired by Catherinn BV. We are committed to improving the lives of SCLC cancer patients, both by prevention through early screening and by cure through immunotherapy.

Star-MDC (Medisch Diagnostisch Centrum) levert snelle en betrouwbare medische diagnostiek voor de gezondheidszorg in de regio Groot-Rijnmond. Dit allemaal dicht bij patienten, huisartsen, verloskundigen en andere zorgverleners. We zijn gespecialiseerd in laboratoriumonderzoek van bloed, urine en ontlasting. Ook voeren we biometrische onderzoeken uit zoals echo’s en oogfoto’s en doen we onderzoek naar hart- en longfuncties. Star-MDC beschikt over één van de grootste en modernste laboratoria van Nederland. Daarnaast geven we ondersteuning en advies aan huisartsen, verloskundigen en andere zorgverleners. We verzorgen prenatale screenings, zwangerschapsecho’s en DNA-onderzoek. Onder regie van huisartsen begeleiden we patiënten met chronische ziekten als suikerziekte of longaandoeningen. Star-MDC heeft de grootste Trombosedienst van Nederland en geeft hiermee 1e-lijnsondersteuning aan huisartsen, ziekenhuizen en overige zorgverleners.

De leden van de SAN zijn medisch diagnostische centra voor huisartsen, verloskundigen en ziekenhuizen. SAN leden ondersteunen via regionale structuren huisartsen en verloskundigen en ziekenhuizen bij het aanvragen, (zelf) uitvoeren en duiden van diagnostiek met als doel kwalitatief goede, doelmatige en integrale zorg te realiseren. Het betreft diagnostiek op het terrein van klinische chemie, functie-onderzoek, medische microbiologie, beeldvormend onderzoek en pathologie.

Het Nederlands Vaccin Institiuut (of NVI) was een agentschap van het ministerie van Volksgezondheid, Welzijn en Sport. Het instituut werd op 1 januari 2003 opgericht en bestond uit de voormalige Sector Vaccins van het RIVM (Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu) en de SVM (Stichting ter bevordering van de Volksgezondheid en Milieuhygiëne). In 2012 werd het NVI door de staat verkocht aan het Serum Institute of India (SII).[1] Er werkten circa 450 medewerkers in het instituut.Het NVI produceerde en distribueerde vaccins en vaccingerelateerde producten. Wetenschappers van het NVI werkten aan de ontwikkeling van vaccins. Het instituut leverde alle vaccins voor het Rijksvaccinatieprogramma (RVP).Per 1 januari 2011 zijn de publieke functies van het NVI terug ondergebracht bij het RIVM. Dit betreft de inkoop, opslag & distributie van vaccins ten behoeve van het Rijksvaccinatieprogramma, het Nationaal Programma Grieppreventie (NGP), het Nationaal Serum Depot (NSD) en overige nationale voorzieningen, zoals die ten behoeve van actie bij calamiteiten, alsook het onderzoek naar en ontwikkeling van vaccins.
