As a Business Support Engineer I am the interface between R&D and our (end)customers, focusing on supporting our business and customers in cooperation with HQ (Service & Support, Marketing, Portfolio Strategy) and the sales Regions. Dedicated customer focus is central where focus is both on working on short term solutions and knowledge sharing to help our sales regions and customers but also retrieving field feedback, really understanding customer needs and steer the product roadmap. Besides of this, I’m project lead for several customization projects: short and long term (customer specific) adaptations and lead a team of several Business Support Engineers.

Based on a short term assignment of in total 4 months, I have worked at the strategic planning department as a portfolio manager. During this period I have been working on strengthen the competitive positioning of a cut sheet printer in order to develop and maintain the product roadmap of Canon’s cut sheet inkjet portfolio. For that, I am working in close collaboration with our customers, sales channels, and the Canon development team. This short term role has also given me insights into the organization outside R&D and has enabled me to strengthen the collaboration between R&D and the business unit of Canon Production Printing (former company name Océ-Technologies B.V.).

Inkjet technology has a bright future. Canon’s printers are rapidly evolving, becoming ever faster and more versatile – largely thanks to a better understanding of the inkjet triangle. This triangle – consisting of ink, printing process and media – are governing the quality of prints.Micro process is part of the printing process focused on the quality of jetting ink droplets out of the nozzles of a print head. Important aspects within this domain are jetting angles, preventing failing nozzles and recovering of failing nozzles.As a team lead micro process (micro process lead) within the R&D department of Canon Production Printing (former company name Océ-Technologies B.V.), I'm responsible for the design of the micro process by defining the right micro process related decomposition and related requirements towards functions such as print head, ink, maintenance and ink handling of the print head. Besides of that I’m also part of architecture team and application team obtaining market & technical knowledge that is essential for the product positioning, print engine design and print process architecture of an inkjet cut sheet production printer.

Als Commissaris binnen de Raad van Commissarissen van Rabobank Meierij & Maashorst vervul ik zowel een toezichthoudende en werkgeversrol richting de lokale directie maar ook een adviserende en verbindende rol naar de lokale samenleving, de ledenraad en de maatschappelijke thema's (waaronder Duurzaam Wonen). Sinds 1 juli 2022 vervul ik tevens de rol als voorzitter Ledenraad van Rabobank Meierij & Maashorst (een samenvoeging van de twee voormalige leefgebieden Hart van De Meierij en Uden Veghel).Samen werken we aan het verbeteren van de maatschappelijk en lokaal betrokken bank waarin klanten en leden centraal staan.

This fully live 12-piece cover band is popular in the world of festivals, private events and corporate events, and includes the core band, the incredible 4-part brass section and a great 4-part vocal section with three singing ladies. As a band manager I'm in contact with event bookers and clients and coordinate bookings from beginning to end ensuring an amazing live show with REPOP.

Since I was 16 I have organized many (+25) small to medium-sized events (500 < # visitors < 2000). Wit a enormous sense of proud, I look back on the diversity of events I have been able to organize together with various committees and organizations. Over 500 participants, sports like beach soccer, beach(foot)volley and beach korfball and tournaments for adults, youth and companies, it's successful and annual event. As chairman, I have been involved in this event from the beginning. Various events/ festivalsTransforming a meadow into a festival site for 2000 visitors or a event for 500 people inside a hall with regional and national headliners. As an event manager I organize various events in which I take several roles such as event manager chairman of a committee, treasurer and head of program.

This triangle – consisting of ink, printing process and media (such as paper) – are governing the quality of prints. The type of papers plays an important role in this. As a function responsible media within Océ R&D, I’m responsible for a better understanding of media and the interactions between media, ink and the print process. Several quality aspects of a print (such as image quality, print robustness and deformation) are part of daily research. Besides of that I’m working on obtaining market & technical knowledge about media (uncoated & coated papers) that is essential for the product positioning, print engine design and print process architecture of a high volume inkjet cut sheet production printer.

In this project, I succeeded in finding first possibilities for identification of ‘Leather Looseness’ which has guaranteed the continuation and extension of the project and promising results have been presented to the leather industry.
