Project - Proposed Building for Faculty of Nursing and Accommodation Building - Sri JayawardanapuraThis project consists of two parts, Part I and Part II. Part I - Building for Faculty of Nursing The proposed Nursing Faculty building is a reinforced concrete building which is located within the premises of Sri Jayawardenepura Nursing School. The super structure of the building consists of 3 underground basement floors and 18 upper floors above the ground (Basement 3, Basement 2, Basement 1, Ground Floor, Mezzanine Floor, 1st to 16th Floor). The total area of the building is 38200m2. The substructure of the building is a pile foundation which consists of 248 cast in-situ bored piles with pile caps. 15 storied reinforced concrete building Currently, the construction of pile caps at the Basement 3 level are being progressed at the site. Simultaneously, excavation, pile hacking and testing are carried out with the construction requirement of the site.Part II - Accommodation building for nursing students 6 storied reinforced concrete building. Substructure is a raft foundation. Most of the structural work of this building has been completed. Finishing and service related work is being underway.Duties engaged. • Site supervision and Safety monitoring • Project progress monitoring, • Quality controlling/ Quality Assurance of construction work • Resolving issues, while keeping an open dialogue with contractor, architect, MEP engineers

Project - Proposed Magistrate Courts Complex at Colombo 12This project is a construction of a 15-storeyed building for the Ministry of Justice. The building consists of reinforced concrete structure supported on a pile foundation with 138 piles. Structural Design • Analysing structures for both static and dynamic loads using Finite Element Software ETABS, SAP2000, Prokon etc.• Designing of structural elements of reinforced concrete structures including slabs, beams, columns and staircases, design of steel elements with reference to standards.• Studying soil parameters of field investigation reports and designed shallow foundations including individual pad footings, combined footings and rafts considering the safe bearing pressure on the soil.• Optimizing the designs adhering to legislative requirements, cost constraints and constructability concerns• Inspection of construction work at construction site and make comments and instructions by reviewing construction procedure as per design assumptions and specifications.• Attending and resolving issues related to structural designs in engaged projects while liaising with architects, MEP engineers and contractors.• Approving materials and method statements submitted by the contractors and offering consultancy on related matters during construction.Structural Renovation• Engaging in Condition Assessment of existing reinforced concrete structures/steel structures etc, preparation of testing programmes to identify root causes of defects, interpreting defects with test results and Preparation of rectification proposals• Providing consultancy services in rectification/refurbishment stage

Project - Avic-Astoria Mix Development ProjectThis project consists of four high-rise towers with 42 stories each. The towers are supported on piled raft foundation. Towers are connected up to 4th floor level and each tower rises above that independently. The usage of the building up to fourth level is mainly for commercial and parking while residential units are located above fifth level.
