As a Graduate Research Assistant at Memorial University of Newfoundland, I am passionate about applying my biotechnology and biochemistry skills to the study of boreal ecosystems and agricultural sciences. I have over two years of experience in food quality and safety, as well as solid knowledge and hands-on experience in laboratory techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS, ICP-MS, microbiology, and mammalian tissue culture.I have also contributed to multiple publications on topics such as polyporus species, bio-remediation, and value-added cereal products. My mission is to advance the scientific understanding of the interactions between natural and human systems, and to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for food security and environmental protection. I am fluent in Sinhala, English, and Tamil, and I enjoy collaborating with diverse and interdisciplinary teams.
