Fresh Ventures Studio is a venture building program and startup studio based in The Netherlands. Co-founding companies to address systemic challenges in the food system. I am a founder-in-residence in the 2021 Cohort. Building a mission-driven venture from scratch that can help transform the food system.

Provided services to small and medium sized companies with specific data driven challenges. The focus of the projects lay mainly on algorithm development and the implementation of hosted or self hosted data work platforms which allow a fast and iterative way to process clients data.Noteable projects:- Bidding optimisation algorithm for google adwords using Lagrange Multiplier optimisation.- Dockerised and setup SageMaker machine learning environment on AWS.- Automated Google Adwords text generation using GPT2.- Setup a ask and celery based machine learning api.- Setup a data work infrastructure combining jupyterhub, python, R, and SAS.- Co-managed a team of job-students providing them with tasks and oversaw their work for the biggest cartel litigation in Europe- Created a model for the economical pre-assessment of potential litigation cases.

Researching natural risks in urban environments using remote sensing and machine learning techniques.

As a Machine Learning Engineer, I am involved in the implementation of AI solutions, their deployment on cloud infrastructures and their delivery to the clients. Other important parts of my job include client communications and the writing of proposals.Notable projects: Tinder for Jobs - machine learning models that match job vacancies with users by analyzing the users’ interactions and their profiles. The algorithms are used in production on several mobile applications.Talent API - An API that matches vacancies and profiles and simplifies the life of recruiters.

Part of a multidisciplinary and multinational data analysis team for antitrust damage litigations in Europe. Main tasks include the collection, standardization, evaluation and presentation of economic data, as well as the communication with damaged companies on economic and data-related aspects.

Collected ground truth data in Kigali for the rapid planning project and my bachelor thesis. Used this data to createclassification maps of the city. Creating landcover classification maps of Rwanda using eCognition and Landsat 8 data.Programming routines in Matlab for edge detector comparison using SAR images. Analyzing Pin Board measurementsfrom soil surface height variations using close range photogrammetry with the software ENVI and IDL. Object orientedanalyzes of vertical close range photogrammetry in eCognition to evaluate surface roughness. Cowriting revising andtranslating papers and publications. Preparing ArcGIS data for a geodata management course for people working inpublic services.

Instructed 20 minute fitness courses for employees of the university.

Part of a team at the department for remote sensing technologies.- Classi ed and segmented remote sensing data with convolutional neural networks.- Programmed a script to simplify the calibration of DSMs with points taken by a total station.- Attended a campaign to the Baltic Sea together with the German Navy, taking spectral measurements to calibrate hyper-spectral data for bathymetric mappings.

Attended a two months field survey in the Kurdistan region of the Republic of Iraq. Obtained magnetic measurementsof a tell and its surroundings close to the city of Dohuk. Working with a gradiometer, total station, and DGPS.
