As Stanford’s Senior Strategist and Director of Emerging Technologies, I have set the technology direction for much of Stanford University’s IT infrastructure for over 10 years. Some of the university-wide initiatives that I have successfully led are UIT Cloud Transformation, WebSSO redesign with cloud migration, and first mobile device management system which received a Stanford Innovation award. These efforts have significantly reduced institutional breach exposures, improved operational scalability, while improving functionality and interoperability.As Director of Emerging Technology, my responsibility has been leading a team of senior developers and IT Architects in delivering design-to-production reference implementations of strategically selected core services. As a staff member to the Faculty Senate Committee on Academic Computing for over 10 years, I regularly presented and advised on computing strategies which supported the core mission of Stanford University. I have also served as the Executive Representative for Stanford University to Internet2, the Common Solutions Group, and the InCommon Federation. I am recognized for my IT leadership across Stanford University and among its peer community.
