I’m involved in all the SCRUM rituals grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retros as well as help guide maintenance for Saatva legacy sites which are on a PHP / MYSQL eCommerce framework. I work closely with my project manager to develop quarterly plans which guide technical specifications written by myself. I am actively involved in Saatva’s mentoring program, leading developer workshops, organizing company hackathons, and pairing programming with developers on the team. Built the foundation for our headless implementation of the Magento eCommerce system which consisted of a - Server-Side React application sitting on top of a Node / Express server - Built presentational components - Node / Express Gateway to interface with the Magento API from Saatva’s storefront applications. Lead performance audits across our various sites utilizing performance tools such as Lighthouse, PSI and Speedcurve to determine areas of improvement. These improvements involved architecture performance reducing network calls, optimizing code where needed. These audits also included areas of improvement across our React applications as well such as lazy loading components where needed and optimizing components to reduce rerenders which could cause jank.Currently, I'm spearheading the initiative to break out our gateway architecture to more manageable services built with Apollo GraphQL as Federated services.
