As a member of Huler's board, I am responsible for all of Huler's software development work across our Bespoke and SaaS business units. My role is primarily about helping the people in my team be awesome, so my focus is primarily on architecture, standards, people development, and delivery. I am lucky to work with a group of people who are smart, dedicated, and kind... so my real focus is on ensuring that they have the space to do their thing.As Huler grows my challenge is to manage the growth of our technology function so that we can scale up over time without losing sight of the core values and ideals that make our technology so good.

Working alongside Manchester Metropolitan University researchers to investigate new ways of measuring urban pollution and air quality

Working with an amazing team of on-shore and off-shore developers to develop a platform that can provide hyperlocal real-time air quality information for use by commercial landlords, transport organisations, city authorities, and citizens.Leading a team of developers working with Golang, React, InfluxDB, Machine Learning, and middleware to develop the world's most dynamic and scalable IoT platform - Storrm.Working on research into new sensor technologies at our lab on the south coast of the UK.Some projects include:- Building a high-performance IoT platform capable of ingesting data from any sensor capable of communicating via HTTP, MQTT, or LoRa.- Development of algorithmic calibration models for sensors- Integration of new sensor technologies with the Storrm plartform- Developing an integration framework to support the retrofit of existing sensor technologies
