We are particularly invested in helping adapt and mitigate to address the socio-political, environmental and economic challenges of climate change. We conduct independent research on current and emerging issues in Bhutan and wider Asia.Our core team and collaborating partners are practitioners, industry experts and thought leaders with experience across government, finance, academia, civil society, grassroots organizations and the private sector.

Engaged in catalyzing, amplifying and advancing gender-transformative education across the Global South contributing to the Center’s overarching mission of fostering positive change in educationPolicy brief publication on “Gender-transformative climate literacy: Raising ambitions for a more resilient Bhutan”. Continuing research work on gender-transformative climate literacy: a framework, learning guide and instructional toolkit.

Established the first Global Shapers Hub (an initiative of the WEF) in Bhutan to empower and provide the platform for young people to self-organize, be part of the solution building and decision making. Network and build relationship with local leaders/government/organizations, Global Shapers Community at Geneva HQ and with other World Economic Forum programs and activities

Founded READ Bhutan, leading and building it out from one person office to a very strong and well recognized organization doing innovative development work at the grassroots and rural communities, impacting over 35,000 lives.

Worked on the production - from the inception of the concept to the launch and marketing of the award winning documentary film - “Bhutan: Taking the Middle Path to Happiness” – winner of 2 Emmy Awards. Later coordinated and worked on the boook, “Bhutan: Hidden Lands of Happiness” – published by Serindia which is an extension of the film. Conducted successful and sold out film tour and panel discussion in the Hawaiian islands

Attended and covered meetings on humanitarian, development and security issues in the Security Council, General Assembly and the ECOSOC. Wrote briefs and notes on development and humanitarian issues, including research on UN reforms and related issues. Represented WFP in Inter-Agency Standing Committees

Managed Food for Education program for 170 schools (36,000 school children) across Bhutan. Liaised and established a good working relation with the Ministry of Education in planning and implementation of the program.
