Embedded IQ (At the time) focussed on turnkey solutions, delivering safety and communication equipment to large mining companies within South Africa. (ISM band communication devices.)WHAT I DIDI was the person tasked with interfacing between customers - our engineers - and our production/ support staff. I had to make sure that orders placed by customers were invoiced, assembled, tested and delivered according to our strict quality standards.FINER DETAILS- I oversaw the quotes + invoicing of all the equipment we produced and sold to our clients.- I managed the product production cycle, ensuring incoming orders had all the electronic components needed for production and PCB assembly. This involved multi-million Rand component orders to international online platforms such as Mouser + Digikey.- Handled PCB assembly from ordering of blank PCB, through to sorting the various components quantities each production run would need.- I would manage the packaging + collection/ delivery of our assembled products in large batches with our clients.- Also involved with product testing and the Q&A process.- Managing of various support staff + engineers, ensuring our orders were satisfied with the customers. As an example, we were the business (and software) that oversaw the debiting of funds by larger corporates from their clients, such as ADT. I was able to install and then interface to the database behind the scenes, and actioning instructions from the client, in real time.
