CurrentSenior Finance Executive (Currently - Acting Accountant)Zylan Group International (PVT) LTD (Zylan Colombo Hotel and Zen Japanese Restaurant)Key Responsibilities:• Prepare monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss statement, Balance Sheet, Bank Reconciliation, Cash Flow Statement and Tax Compliance Report, providing insights for top management decision-making.• Support and overlooking the night auditor in reconciling daily cash, credit card, KOKO, and Uber sales, while overseeing cashier operations.• Monitor and manage the purchasing department and inventory control, ensuring the accuracy of Purchase Orders (POs) and Goods Received Notes (GRNs).• Handle supplier payments and oversee all accounts payable processes.• Record and post monthly sales, payroll, and other journal entries in QuickBooks, managing both receivables and payables.• Calculate and arrange timely payments for VAT, SSCL, WHT, APIT, and local taxes, while ensuring accurate and on-time return submissions.• Manage payroll processing, including the preparation of monthly service charge distributions.• Generate detailed financial reports and conduct investment appraisals and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making as per the requirement.• Lead cost control initiatives by preparing cost and pricing analyses, determining product selling prices, and providing recommendations for cost reduction and operational efficiency.• Analyze financial data to identify trends, offering actionable insights to improve profitability, increase sales, and enhance organizational performance.• Handling all the cash and dealing with bank, government authorities and cooperating with auditors to prepare annual audited financial statements.
