As a Graduate working for Department of Corporate and Digital Development in Northern Territory Government, I am an ambitious and enthusiastic professional seeking to advance my knowledge and skills to become a data analyst in near future. I recently completed my Master of Information Technology in Information Systems and Data Science at Charles Darwin University, where I developed expertise in data analysis and process modelling. I completed Bachelor of Science from the University of Ruhuna in Sri Lanka and it provided me with a solid foundation in critical thinking and analytical skills. Currently, I work for HR systems Automation Project as a Graduate Business Analyst for Department of Corporate and Digital Development, Northern Territory Government. In this role, I work with users to identify and document business requirements, investigate and analyse business processes, and develop project plans to manage projects. I also create user and training documentation and develop functional specifications for system developers. My previous experience as a Marketing Specialist for G&R Wills Wholesalers involved facilitating marketing activities for over 60 product categories, analyzing data, creating reports, and updating the sales team with informed decisions. I also proactively supported sales team and warehouse personnel with necessary data and analytics support.I worked on Structural variation analyses of Nobel Prize-winning papers on co-citation and co-word networks, where I gathered data and analyzed structural variations using Citespace software. As a member of the Australian Computer Society (ACS), I keep myself updated with the latest industry developments, and I also contribute to the community through volunteering. I was leading Marketing team for GovHack NT 2022, and also volunteering with RedCross Australia, where I provided psychological first aid and support for operational management during emergency situations. I have been recognized for my contributions and achievements through the Academic Excellence Award at the CDU IT Code Fair 2021, the Certificate of Appreciation from Volunteering NT, and semi-finalist (Somerville Community award & Charles Darwin International student award) for NT Young achiever award in 2023.Overall, I am a dedicated and goal-oriented professional with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, seeking opportunities to contribute my knowledge and skills to an organization in need of a graduate with a passion for data analysis and process improvement.
