As the Senior Manager of Quality Assurance for the IT Solutions and Cybersecurity practice of Sikich LLP (formerly 403 Labs, LLC), I am responsible for performing quality assurance reviews and managing the quality assurance process for internal documentation, proposals, client deliverables and external communications related to compliance assessments (e.g., PCI DSS, PA-DSS, NIST CSF, CIS CSC, CMMC, HIPAA, GLBA, GDPR), penetration testing, risk assessments, computer forensic investigations, cloud security assessments, IT due diligence engagements and more. The quality assurance process requires a significant amount of effort in terms of writing and editing communications to produce clear, concise, accurate and actionable deliverables that demonstrate the value of our services. I help to make sure our deliverables walk the fine line of being technically detailed while being understandable to C-level executives and other potentially non-technical stakeholders. As part of this process, I work closely with directors, service line managers, consultants and project managers to evolve our reporting methodologies and improve the quality of our work product and communications.Beyond my professional role, I'm also a member of the Sikich Milwaukee office's Focus on Raising Community Engagement (FORCE) committee, and the organizer for Sikich's annual participation in the WKLH Miracle Marathon for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

403 Labs, LLC merged with Sikich LLP in February 2014.Within the realm of strategic communications management, I worked to increase the awareness of our brand through the administration of the 403 Labs blog (www.blog.403labs.com) and Twitter account (www.twitter.com/403labs). Additionally, I wrote and edited copy for press releases as well as marketing collateral, including for the company website, marketing slicks, print advertisements and more.I also spent time managing our partner relationships, overseeing merchant compliance programs and working with partners to develop successful marketing strategies to both enhance the effectiveness of their programs and increase the profitability realized from partnering with our organization.

I managed marketing and public relations for PowerSports Network, a website developer for powersports dealers. After the company was bought in 2007 by Dominion Enterprises, I took on the same responsibilities for their Marine Web Services and RV Web Services verticals.For each vertical, I created press releases and profile pieces for industry publications to promote the company's dealer service offerings and increase market share. I also wrote copy and designed graphics and HTML for prospect-facing newsletters promoting the company's upcoming trade show participation.After PSN joined with the Marine Web Services and RV Web Services verticals, the company undertook a rebranding of those groups. I was responsible for writing copy, coding HTML, and creating graphics for each vertical's new site (still in use today).In addition to marketing, I managed efforts aimed at enhancing existing dealer experiences. I wrote, produced and maintained more than 50 dealer training videos to help dealers manage their websites, and created dozens of "video brochures" for powersports vehicles and boats that dealers could leverage to help sell inventory. I also spearheaded a program to send personalized congratulatory letters to dealers who had been featured in industry publications or recognized in industry "Top" lists.I took it upon myself to enhance my skills in the areas of HTML coding, Photoshop Elements and search engine optimization (SEO) in order to assist dealers in their marketing efforts. I often helped reformat and enhance dealer home pages and newsletters on my own time to increase their customers' interest in events, specials, etc.PSN also maintained a consumer-facing website. I was responsible for monitoring and selecting industry news stories for placement on that site as well as reviewing and editing consumer reviews.In addition to dealer- and consumer-facing marketing, I also coordinated, created and delivered monthly internal company updates.

While at BR, I worked as an Assistant Account Executive on a team that handled the account of a multinational animal health company.As the Assistant AE on the team, I participated in all aspects of the account's management, including:- Tracking competitor activity- Participating in client meetings- Coordinating internally with copywriters, public relations, art directors, media buyers, etc.- Editing and proofreading ad copy, presentations and collateral- Assembling collateral packages for trade shows

My position at Brady allowed me to work on both direct mail campaigns as well as media management for clients in the manufacturing, medical and construction industries.Within my direct marketing role, I was responsible for the implementation, management and analysis of direct mail programs. I worked with copywriters and art directors to create the pieces, and negotiated with outside vendors for production and mailing of the final piece as well as for fulfillment of any related offers.On the media side, I conducted research and analysis on industry publications to create comprehensive media plans with annual budgets of over $500,000 for a leading construction equipment manufacturer. I tracked competitor activity, negotiated placement rates, and participated in the copy writing and editing process.
