I am currently working as a UK Government Advisor on Climate Change as part of the Committee on Climate Change, where I focus on the UK electricity sector and provide analysis and advice to Government on how best to decarbonise the UK power sector, on the cost effective path to meeting the UK's statutory emissions reductions targets to 2050. I am involved in technology analysis (across renewables, nuclear and Carbon Capture and Storage), power sector modelling, technology cost modelling, as well as analysis of demand side flexibility (such as smart meters, smart grids and demand side response), the electricity Transmission and Distribution system and the integration of low carbon generation into electricity markets.
