BSc (Hons) Digital Technology Solutions Professional Apprenticeship at the University of ExeterHaving gained experience & knowledge of the edtech industry during my part-time role, this apprenticeship allows me to widen my understanding and deepen my skills.I am primarily responsible for the IT infrastructure of a large secondary school: including the network, cloud platform management, security, helpdesk support, standardised procedure design & documentation, and much more. This gives me a multitude of experiences and opportunities to develop my skillset and work towards my degree apprenticeship.Additionally, I design, develop, test, and implement custom software solutions to address real problems found within education. Through my unique viewpoint of issues faced across schools, I am able to identify the need for a new digital solution and produce a custom software product to resolve common frustrations or simplify processes.

This role has adapted and grown, through my assistance in managing, monitoring, and developing the network and other technical infrastructure, including Google Workspace.Additionally, I help to lead the Digital Leader team, coordinating with members of staff and other students in order to run an effective scheme allowing students to assist teachers directly in-class, reducing the impact on the IT department.
