Using the judgment and know-how derived from three decades of experience as strategist and advocate, he helps secure winning outcomes.By uniting and engaging the public and stakeholders around a bold vision and tapping into an extensive network, Rob’s leadership has secured many precedent-setting outcomes that have influenced the nation’s progress on clean energy and climate. Working at the intersection of state and national policy, Rob has helped lead successful efforts to win strong clean energy & climate policies, including; 100% clean electricity standards, renewable electricity standards, solar and offshore wind policies, clean car requirements, appliance standards & state and regional carbon caps. Most recently, he developed & and rolled out Environment America’s 100% Renewable Energy program, working to win 100% RE commitments. Rob helped launch Voices for 100% Renewable Energy, an online project profiling the range of people embracing that vision. And, he helped found the100% Network ; which brings together front line groups with state & national environmental organizations to share and promote solutions that support a transition to a 100% clean energy future that is equitable and just.Rob represented state environmental organizations on the stakeholder group that guided state officials in the crafting of the Northeast States’ power sector carbon cap, (Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative-RGGI). He led the successful push to make RGGI a “cap & invest” program; requiring that pollution credits be auctioned with the proceeds invested in energy saving measures and clean energy solutions. Rob founded and serves on the board of Community Action Works; which supports community groups across New England to put together plans and strategies to effectively solve the problems they face. Rob has authored and co-authored many reports, including:• We Have the Power: 100% Renewable Energy for a Clean, Thriving America • The Way Forward on Global Warming: Reducing Carbon Pollution Today and Restoring Momentum for Tomorrow by Promoting Clean Energy• Renewables on the Rise: A decade of progress toward a clean energy futureRob has been published or quoted in scores of media outlets, including the New York Times , The Atlantic Monthly, USA Today , CBS News , Washington Post , Huffington Post, The Hill, Christian Science Monitor , Grist, and Medium.
