Research Focus:» Biomaterials tailored for Corneal Tissue Regeneration using the novel 'iFix Pen' surgical device.Roles and Responsibilities:• Sythesis of hydrogel and bioink formulations with tunable viscoelastic properties, biofunctionalization, and self-assembly of polymer microstructures for cell-attachment.• Optimised the rheological properties of biomaterial formulations for 3D-bioprinting, including the design of microfluidic devices to enhance self-assembly and mixing during extrusion.• Collaborated with an interdisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and physicians from the Sydney Eye Hospital and the University of Wollongong.• Advanced material analysis (FTIR, DSC, Rheometry, DMA, etc.), quality control testing and 3D modelling.

Research focus:» EtZnX Mediated Metalloamination/Cyclization of N,N-Dimethylhydrazinoalkenes: A New Approach for the Synthesis of Pyrrolidines and Piperidines Antibiotic Targets.• Synthesis of halogen functionalized pyrrolidines and piperidines using an Et-Zn mediated reaction pathway.• Performed computational modelling via Gaussian09, MOPAC and DFT to map the energy surface and describe the entire metalloamination reaction mechanism.• Daily tasks involved NMR, FTIR, Schlenk and glove box techniques for synthesis of targets.
