Key Responsibility at IRITRON * Iritron is an engineering Project Consulting company* As an Engineer in training at Iritron I was exposed to the following technologies:* Physical Panel wiring (PLC, RIO, MCC and Server panels).* FDES (Instrumentation field design software).* AutoCAD software* Reading P&IDs, Creating I/O lists and PLC panels layouts using AutoCAD.* Instruments (Temperature, Level, Flow and Pressure)* Wonderware SCADA* Siemens PLC (STL and Ladder)Key Responsibility at HIPROM* I am currently working as an instrument technician at Hiprom and I am responsible for the following:* Doing Instrumentation service and maintenance at RPM (Anglo platinum) as a contractor.* Breakdowns ( on all shaft and underground)* Compressors * Valve and positioners* Actuators and solenoids* Installation of instruments* Calibration of different instruments (Endress+Hauser and Rosemount)* Instrumentation Commissioning* Hiprom Profibus PA* Panel wiring (Control logix 5000, point I/Os and Flexi I/Os)* Fault finding on Control logix PLC.* Fiber, Ethernet and Control net networking

I was exposed to the following technologies * Pressure measurement * Flow Measurement * Temperature measurement * Level measurement * Analysis* Recorders* I was also exposed to the different communication protocols such as:* Profibus PA & DP* Ethernet * Controlnet * Hart, Foundation field bus, Readwin and Field care* As trainee I was also responsible for instrument repair, instrument calibration setting up the zero and span of the instrument.* I was also responsible for instrument commissioning and signing them off to the client, with the help of Field service technicians.
