Analytical chemist in a specialised, unique and technical role where I routinely deliver and contribute on key projects involving chromatographic and wet chemical analyses.  The variety of classical and instrumental tests I perform brings dynamism and fun to my work. My role utilises my strengths of critical thinking, positivity and time effectiveness. Butterworth is a contract lab that tests the suitability of hundreds of different chemicals to numerous quality standards, requiring constant implementation of these three skills. The day-to-day schedule of an analyst is very unpredictable; therefore, adaptability and proactivity are needed to effectively manage workload and incorporate changes to testing parameters at short notice. Returned to role of analyst at the MHRA Laboratory after graduation from the University of Surrey

Analytical chemist for the MHRA laboratory at LGC in Teddington. My role was to analyse organics and pharmaceutical formulations for identity, uniformity, assay, and impurities using FTIR, HPLC, LOD, UV-Vis and Raman spectroscopy, and titrations to support the production of British Pharmacopoeia chemical reference substances, and the development of new and revised monographs, as well as to assess the safety and efficacy of pre-market medicinal products.

Part time role as a food and beverage host and bar host. Responsibilities included serving/waiting on, and interacting with guests, conversing with them to try and make their experience at the hotel an enjoyable one. I also had to maintain the cleanliness, efficiency and general working order of the restaurant and bar. This included restocking and calculating the daily profits of the bar.
