CurrentWorking with children that have SEN needs. Main roles and responsibilities include:Helping to promote staff wellbeing by organising activities on site like football matches between the primary and high school Assigned this academic year (2024) as a phonics teacher responsible for a teaching a class of students literacyAssisting in the teaching of a variety of subjects (literacy/mathematics etc). Marking pupils work as well as helping the teacher in preparation for the next lessonSupporting in physical activity (PE) lessons as well as swimming lessonsContributing in pupil centred meetings and with admin work (Pupil records/targets, behaviour reports and reading and responding to emails Being a team player and liaising with other members of staff. Occasional class covering if there is a member of staff absent Attending weekly training sessions. Taught on a variety of topics from specialists in occupational therapy, teaching, the THRIVE approach and health Attending and contributing to staff forum meetings that happen on a regular basis100% course completion on yearly Moodle continual professional development (CPD) courses: Aurora Safeguarding, Prevent training, Data Protection/confidentiality, health and safety and whistleblowing etcI achieved the highest amount of observed earwig pupil targets: 100 earwig targets within the 2022/2023 academic year
