During the second year of my MBO study I did a duty management internship at the Carlton President hotel in Utrecht.During my internship I had the following daily responsibilities:- Assisting the Front Office at check in or check out.- Assisting the Food & Beverage department.- Solving problems.- Closing off the leisure center.- Carrying out minor repairs in and around the hotel.In consultation with the hotel, I carried out various assignments in addition to my daily work:- Writing a manual for a shift as a duty manager.- Devising and writing a key protocol.- Setting up a staff satisfaction survey

During the 2nd year of my Hotel Management study, we were working on a school project with 4 other classes from different locations with the assignment: Take over a Stay Okay hotel for a week and turn it into a 4 star hotel.Each class was assigned to two departments and had to provide two general managers.During the preparation, we as general manager had to set up all departments, set deadlines for the opening of the hotel and made the budgets for all the departments.At the end of the project we opened the doors of our hotel and welcomed our guests. In the role as general manager I was responsible for all departments in the hotel during my shift, gave a helping hand were needed and was the main contact for guests and colleagues.

During my internship in the first year of TIO University of Applied Sciences, I lived and worked for 4 months in Marbella (southern Spain).My internship consisted of fulfilling the following tasks:- Serving guests- Bartender- Assisting the chef in the kitchen.- Purchasing (food, beverages and non-food)
