About Thom Mindala

Following a near 40 year career in the paint and coatings industry where I had success as a store manager, a territorial salesperson, and a national sales and operations training manager, I've since retired (March 2014) to become an author and training consultant. TRAIN2WIN is a company I created to offer a wide variety of employee based training solutions to those enterprises who need them. That said, my real passion while retired from everyday work is writing about the things I care about. In the past I've written and had published books about my mother's family, my father, about a bicycle ride across Colorado, a book about business travel for the beginner, and a couple of semi-serious cookbooks. More recently I've written my first novel "Mission to Mars" and have finished writing a book about my father in law's experiences as an 8th Air Force bomber pilot and POW during World War II called Flying the B-17 Flying Fortress: The World War II Memories and Experiences of 1st Lieutenant Clayton A. Nattier. The research and writing of a book about a true war hero is without doubt my most rewarding accomplishment as a writer author to date. During 2015 I also started writing a fictional novel series called "The Post Cold War Series" the first being A Sudden War in the Bering Strait where the geopolitical competition between the United States and Russia explodes into a short war near Alaska, and the second being the Black Knight Brigade which is a story about how a multi-national paramilitary force is secretly created and given the authority to destroy both ISIS and Al Qaeda. All that I've written (with the exception of my mother's book Lambert Tales which is published by Blurb Booksmart) are available at Amazon.com.
