PERSONAL NOTE:Returning to the workforce after 15 years of 'Total and Permanent Disability" since 2007. New heart-brain-organ technology (2017) and medicinal advancements allowed me to survive a dire prognosis (<5 years in 2oo7). Speaker at state and national Journalism conventions, hosted workshops, camps, etc. Recognized consultant for Duke University by Printing Industries of America; hard bound books, Best of Category.Word-of-mouth recognition helped build a superior customer oriented sales/service team; earned new business, maintained revenue growth, repeat business unparalleled. Sold biz at the top of my game to try a new venture; at 49 having my first and only child. Viral pneumonia nearly exploded my heart on Christmas Day 2005, followed by 15 years on the shelf, in-and-out of hospitals. Beat the odds.Still, I have experienced life to its fullest, been at the bottom and the top of the mountain, never flinching along the way. Once a competitive runner, I compete with integrity intact. Big picture oriented... well read and travelled.What seemed like setbacks were opportunities to grow exponentially, what appeared to be achievements were opportunities to learn, and sometimes fail. Getting to know and love all the people I've met, parenting a child, and the plethora of experiences, still making my world worth the price of admission.Starting and building two successful businesses, worked hard, played hard. Now, working on clarifying the illusion. Authentically, with hope and trepidation.I've touched all the bases, am comfortable in any setting, including my own skin.
